Network MIDI 2.0
Network MIDI 2.0 allows you to send MIDI 2.0 messages via network connections to other devices. It is an official MIDI 2.0 transport protocol defined by the MIDI Association. The specification came out in November 2024, and MusiKraken released the first version of Network MIDI 2.0 support in January 2025.
Here you can see MusiKraken using Network MIDI 2.0 at the MIDI Association booth at NAMM 2025:
To connect to another device, tap the + sign on the Network MIDI 2.0 node in the editor. This will start the search for other Network MIDI 2.0 devices in the same network. Once you select a device from the list, it will try to connect to it.
By default, the first connected device is the target that will receive the MIDI events. If you connected to multiple devices, go to the settings of this module and select a different device from the list.
Ports:
Every MIDI message sent to this port will be transmitted via Network MIDI 2.0 to any device connected and selected in the settings.
